Puranchandra Vidyaniketan’s Sixteenth computer carnival, an annual core-computing event, was organized today at various venues at the school campus. With newer events, more teams, and enterprising participants like never, Eleven schools from across Uttar Pradesh including NOIDA and Lucknow displayed their tech-skills during the carnival.
The School Principal Mrs. Sobhana Mukherjee and Mr Darpan Khanna, a 2016 alumni of the School, presently Lead Engineer, Apisero Inc inaugurated the event by lighting the sacred lamp. Mr. Khanna, who was also the Core Team Head of PITS (Puranchandra Vidyaniketan Information and Technology Society), appreciated the innovative games introduced by the present PITS team. Principal Mrs Sobhana Mukherjee expressed her pleasure at convening of the Computer Carnival offline after two years.
The Carnival began with Softstruct, Animate a Minute, 3Dfy, IT Quiz, Extreme Pursuit and Robo Tumble and the competition took off in full vigor with Revelation, Web-D, Minute Counts,Mystery Event and Acoustic Chemistry in the Post-Lunch session making the campus abuzz with action.
Dr Brijraj Singh Researcg Scientitist(Artificial Intelligence) – SONY Research India obliged to preside over the ceremony. The winners of the various events were felicitated with prizes. The arena resonated with a round of applause and appreciation as Delhi Public School, Azad Nagar bagged the overall winner’s trophy with the second and the third position going to Jagran Public School-Lucknow and Shree Sanatan Dharam Education Centre respectively. The event compeered by Ananya Nigam and Ishita Gautam ended with a vote of thanks by the President of PITS Suryansh Kamal.
